Here's a link to the route we took, courtesy of Lachlan's Garmin 500 Edge which I borrowed.

Peter was usually the first up the hills, while I was usually the first down them. Check out the max speed.
Garlands, celebratory kisses and much back slapping as we returned home.
That happens in the movies. We rock up to an empty house the is locked up tight. Thank the Lord that Peter is a good western suburbs boy and knows the value of having a beer fridge in the garage.
He gave me one for my 50th (last year) and so we are able to make the most of a bad turn of events.
A mix of carbohydrates gels, empty tummy and full strength beer has taken effect on Mr Rouse.
Managed to get upto 15 kph along Beaconsfield Parade.
Worst conditions Peters ever experienced. That is going back a long way as he is much older than me.
Might be home by 4:00. Hope the girls have the banner out for us!
Reached the Dig Tree but the base camp had moved on. Peter has gone to look for water. The Sandy pub has some rock n roll show on and probably has cold beers. We know this is just a bitter illusion.
Boy howdy! The descent ofrom Oliver's Hill is always good fun. Makes up for the 12kph I had to endure in getting up it.
Had a couple of spots of rain around Mornington. Thought "Uh oh."
Pete is out of the shop so we'll be going soon.
Looking forward to some wind assistance to get us over The Briars. Turning into jelly babies.
